Meet Our Steubenville Team

We have a team of dedicated and highly skilled eye doctors at all of our Everett & Hurite offices. In Steubenville, you'll find two accomplished ophthalmologists: Dr Sylvester, a pediatric ophthalmologist, and Dr Kent, an oculoplastic and cataract surgeon. Both are committed to providing top-notch care to patients of all ages.

  • Christin Sylvester, DO: Dr. Sylvester is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in pediatric ophthalmology. She completed medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at the Children's National Medical Center in Washington D.C.

  • With over a decade of experience, Dr. Sylvester has developed a particular interest and expertise in neonatal eye care, including retinopathy of prematurity. She also has extensive knowledge in other areas such as nasolacrimal duct disorders, strabismus, genetic disorders, and medical retinal disorders.

  • In addition to providing excellent care to her patients, Dr. Sylvester is also dedicated to educating residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in the field of pediatric ophthalmology.

  • Charles J Kent, MD, MMM: Dr. Kent is a skilled oculoplastic surgeon who specializes in reconstructive and cosmetic eye surgery.  After completing his training at Harvard University's ophthalmology department, he moved his family to Pittsburgh. His clinical focus has been on functional eyelid problems like droopy eyelids and tumors of the eyelids and eye sockets.

  • Dr. Kent is also highly knowledgeable in cosmetic facial rejuvenation using a combination of surgery, dermal fillers, and Botox. He is one of the few oculoplastic surgeons to treat both children and adults, making him a valuable asset to our team.

  • In addition to his expertise in medical and surgical eye care, Dr. Kent is also board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has also completed specialized training in ocular pathology through Harvard University, further expanding his knowledge and skills in treating eye diseases.
